Saturday was college day. An annual event. Important event so to speak. Prolly the most important event in the whole of the college's calendar. So, got to shoot it, since there wasn't any external photographer who was helping to cover the event.
So, here's a photographic journey of Saturday's event:
Before the guest of honour arrived, we were waiting outside the PT, catching some of the VIPs interacting, being sociable. haha.. Then, Ms Goh suggested we do something bo liao. haha.. So, here's the 4 photographers for college day 2008:) :

The arrival of the GOH, RAdm (NS) Lui Tuck Yew, Senior Minister of State, Ministry of Education and Ministry of Information, Communications and the Arts. :
Hmm, he actually drove himself to college. Cool dude.
Well, since lion dance closed down, we've gt a new CCA to be the welcome party. Cheerleaders:

After that, the usual stuff happened. The guests took their seats on stage and CPM delivered the college's report of the year 2007.

And we have inspiring teachers :) Who have inspired us to aspire. (I find this phrase very catchy. haha.. Been stuck in my head since the IP openhouse in April. "Inspired to Aspire". haha..)

And, after the GOH delivered his speech, began the long list of people who were awarded various awards. Brr.. Seriously long list. Thank goodness I got a tripod. :D If not, my arms would have ached more. hehe..
Eventually, the list ended. Finally. haha.. I shot an entire 1GB on the prize winners alone. Though I missed a couple of people. :(

After the Wong Hung Khim - Student of the year, Marc Oliver Van Huizen delivered his valediction, the performance began. I think, this is the most interesting part of the whole of college day. LOL.. But, have seen it before. I reckon it was roughly the same as last year's performance leh.. (at least for the dance. I think it IS the same. haha..)

Dance:

Shooting the dance performance was much easier thanks to the brighter lighting conditions that day and the 2.8 lens. :) Had a large number of keepers. Though, it's really tiring to keep staring into the small and dim viewfinder and catching the correct moment.
After dance, there was CO, with their.. umm.. drums and stuffs.. haha..
And then, there was the band. With their machu pichu.(Hope I spelt correctly.) It's really a nice composition. Especially when you've heard it a couple of times before and told of what the composer intended to bring out. And it has really distinct transitions. Enjoyed the performance, though I've heard it twice before during the Majestia Concert earlier this year. haha.. Better able to appreciate it this time round.
And of course, to conclude the day's ceremony in the PT, the Victorian Anthem:
Last and not the least, reception. haha.. It was quite a fun time at reception. =P Was doing some funny stuff. Pointing my camera at friends (more like juniors) and shooting 'em. haha..
Got some keepers. haha.. Interesting and funny expressions they had. *grins*
Anyways, I realise, I can't really see well when I'm covering events. It's not that I pretend not to see leh. I really didn't see. Rather, don't recognise for the matter. sigh~~
So much for college day. It's time to head back to the notes. ~29 days~
