It's been 1 year since I've stepped up to the post of Assistant Chief Photographer of VJC. 1 year has passed so quickly. Now, it's time to hand over this baton to the next batch of juniors to take over from where we've left off. It's been half a year since I took over the post of Chief photographer. During this half a year, things have been really hectic and management of time was bad. (Been spending a hell lot of time doing and settling photography stuffs, that my studies have taken a huge beating.)
It's now time to hand over the management of the club to the next batch of exco. And, yesterday was the day to hand it over to them.
Speech by Jeridyn.. I s'pose you forgotten our "motto".. haha.. "PHOTO.. SOC.. MAINTAIN MAINTAIN MAINTAIN!!" hahaha!! Ah well, cannot maintain sia.. So emo.. Dun emo la.. Lemme quote something for you. "A good bye will only be painful if we're never going to say 'hello' again." So, yep, this is not our final goodbye:) Maintain.. :D

While the rest of the current (my batch) of exco made their speech, Xianyi and I didn't say anything. For me, 'cause I knew if I were to start talking, I'll become very naggy and stuff.. And, at the end, cannot maintain one.. So, decided not to say anything, since I'm not prepared to keep that emotional status quo yet.. haha..
Last speech from the exco was by Mr Khaw YeeJek, President of the Photography Society, VJC. Damn scary when he laughed twice during the course of his speech.. haha.. Knew he couldn't maintain anymore.. Everytime liddat one.. haha..

After that, Kurni and Christopher went up and made a rather funny and interesting speech.. haha.. By then, super overrun already.. So, just announced the results of the exco selection.. Here's the list of new exco, taking over the photography society:
President: Ian Ho
V. President: Jolyn
Chief: Mu Yao
Admin: Pei Shan
Welfare: Jian Wei
Creative Director: Wai Yong

Well, Wish would wanna wish them all the best in their year ahead as the 25th Exco of the VJC Photography Society which your seniors have put so much hard work and bloody creating and bringing up.
25th Chief Photographer:

Here's a short tribute to my fellow exco members, some of whom I've grown really close to, some whom have become good friends.
To YeeJek: It's been my honour to having known you. Through your guidance and lead, I've grown as a person. Becoming more out-spoken and creative. From strangers that only know each other by face (first met him when he was in IP), to very close friends (perhaps even akin to brothers). We've certainly come a long way. I'd reckon, you disturb me much more than I disturb you.. -.- haha.. Study hard! It's alot to catch up. Now that we've all stepped down, it's time to start preparing for the 'A's and catch up on all the things that we've missed out during our days and nights spent thinking and preparing for each and every photosoc meeting.
P.S: Don't play too much. :D

To Danielle: You've been a wonderful VP, and it's really great to having known someone who shares the same passion for photography. Though you've been quiet and sometimes away from meetings, you came up with ideas that we never thought off. Certainly giving us a different perspective to things. Believe in yourself that you can do it. Have more confidence :) I'm sure you'll go far in life in whatever you intend to do.

To Tianwei: It's been a good year working with you. :) Indeed, I've learnt alot from you when I first started out as a photographer. From the basics of photography to the handling of Photosoc. It's been great having to know you. Also, it's always interesting to know various perspectives people have of how things are being done and stuff. Thanks for providing that additional insight to how we're managing our society! :)

To Jeridyn: Well, I don't know what to say, man. haha.. Sometimes, I can't really figure out what you're trying to do or say of whatever. You're always confusing me. -.- Forever la. Whole day con me one. haha.. Anyways, it's been a fun time working with you! 387 days on, I think I've known you alil better, though it's always complicated trying to figure out what you're thinking at any point of time. Zzzz.. At the end, I'm always the one consoling you la.. I've gt a quote for you. "The future never just happened. It was created." For goodness sake, believe that you can create your future and don't emo so much! 'cause, I might not always be around all the time. But, if you need a listening ear, I'll be there. :)
To Xianyi: Hmm, I've known you since sec 3 onwards. Though not personally, but recognise that face and build. haha.. It's nice having to know you through photog. The only thing I regret is not having to know you better. You've been a very trusty person. It's really great to have a person whom I can trust in doing things and not worry at all.

To Edwin: You've been a really fun guy to have around. Though you tend to waste half the meeting time we have talking cock, but things get done and solved eventually. haha.. Though we might scream at each other sometimes, but, well, I hope that doesn't affect our friendship. :) We've been through so much shit together. From our first event, Photon, to our last, Expose, it wouldn't have been possible planing without your input and experience. Good man.

To all: THANK YOU for signing up for events, listening to my crap(and emo nonsense) and staying awake during lessons, being understanding of my lack of paitence during event coverage.
I'd like to apologise to you'all as well for being harsh at times and no-nonsense, strict face at times.
It's been a great year working will everyone, and I wish ALL of you people, ALL THE BEST FOR YOUR 'A' LEVELS! :))
Friends Forever! :))
