I'm starting to enjoy my activities @ YJC.. Or rather, it's juz today. And perhaps the scouts' camp which was in the orientation activity. It met my expectations, not really exceeding it, cause, I had in my mind something like that already.Sun wasn't very strong today, so, didn't get the tan that I wished I had lo. Sighz... But, overall, it was truly fun! Getting wet and doing the kind of "crazy" utdoor stuff that I used to do, the activity really brings the best out of me, I s'pose. Hahaz.. But, seriously, I wasn't really my usual self these days. Sticking to myself, closing the "open door". Not willing to accept that actually, I'm in YJC, keep believing that one day, no matter what my results were, I'd transfer out of this school at the end of the 3 mths there. So, I thought everything as lame, etc. But, through this experience, I really learnt that things are not really what they were, but what you think they are. So, I'm going to go all out and enjoy my experience at YJC. Hehe. (Though I still don't intend to stay there after the first 2 months. Then again, its only 5 more weeks left. Hehe..) Well, in dragonboating, we did the usual stuff, rowing, rowing and more rowing. Lol. The interesting part came when we had to sit at the gunrail (the side of the boat lahz). And the trainer was like shaking to boat such that it SEEMED that it'd capsize anytime. But, I wasn't too worried lahz. Reason: He cant capsize us. He'd b in e water too.. lol... Anyway, we had to do a cheer/song. As a class. But, the first attempt was really too soft. Can't stand hiding my original self anymore, I took the task of leading them in a cheer. I couldn't think of any. But, it just struck my mind that since 02 has the same number of syllybi as VS, I juz changed a cheer and adapted it. So, off we went cheering. After that, it seemed certain that when they'd look up for a leader, I think it'd be me? Hahaz.. See, you must stand up for the right thing at the right time, with proper training.. XD Ahhz... It's been super tiring, paddling or rowing, for 2 hours. My hand was cramming up thens. I had to stop rowing or.. God knows what wuld happen next.. Hahaz Other than that, I came out fine. After the rowing and stuff, we went for lunch as a class. Thanks to Mrs Chen (my class's CT), we had a really good and wonderful meal. Thanks! We had our lunch at Sweensens.. XD Everyone a single set. Complete with soup and ice-cream. Really had great fun today. Enjoyed the outdoors. Lastly, must thank God for the great weather he blessed us with. Cause, it started to rain in the afternoon, at about 3 pm liddat. So, blog again, another time........ LOST at Monday, January 15, 2007 |
