Today was VS annual speech day... Of course, why issit called a "Speech Day" if there issn't any speeches? Was called 2 represent my class for this "school function" I'd say...It was rather boring.. Need to be in school by 1.45pm.. Although the GOH (Guest Of Honour) onli arrived at 3.00pm... But nothing other than boredom to complain... The comfort of air-conditioning was appreciated. After LG Ng had inspected the Guard-of-honour (NCC SEA), he proceeded to officaially 'open' VS heritage centre. There after, he went to the Hall... Thank goodness they decided to air-con it... Dunno how's anyone gonna tolerate the boiling heat... So, after he arrived and everyone settled down, Mr Ang Pow Chewwent to give his 20 minutes long speech on how VS progressed thru' this year... Achievements... And his expectations to the Sec 4s this year... Saying that last years' batch had set the bar high... And expects nothing less than to meet it... And went on... for 20 minutes... Itz not too bad.. At least itz still audiable... Then it was LG Ng's turn to deliever his speech... It was soooooo soft... I swear tt i could barely hear what he was talking about... To make matters worse, pple beside me were talking and giggling like little girls.. OMG!!! So much 4 his 'beautiful' speech... And after that it was the prize presentation... For the previous batch of Sec 4s... The onli thing that was most memorable was the All Rounded Student... He realli deserved the award! He excelled in both school and outside... Great leadership potential... Role-model... Wanna be like him... :P sigh... LOST at Saturday, July 23, 2005 |
